2. Hosting and technical request data

Cloudflare, Inc., United States, hosts and delivers this static website through Cloudflare Pages. Its infrastructure processes visitors’ IP addresses, request details, browser/device information and timestamps to deliver pages, maintain service reliability and protect against abuse. Visiting this site is therefore not anonymous at the network level.

The legal basis for operating and securing this portfolio is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: my legitimate interest in providing a reliable, secure website. I do not create a separate visitor database or use technical request data to build marketing profiles.

Cloudflare and its infrastructure providers are recipients of technical data. Technical records are retained for service delivery, troubleshooting and security investigations under the applicable hosting and security retention arrangements; no additional visitor-log archive is maintained by this website.

3. No forms, analytics or advertising

This portfolio does not offer contact forms, newsletter subscriptions, account registration, appointment-booking widgets or payment forms. It does not use advertising pixels, session recording, Google Analytics, PostHog or Cloudflare Web Analytics tracking scripts.

The website application does not set cookies or use local storage or session storage to identify visitors. Portfolio tabs, previews and motion controls use temporary page state only. Fonts and portfolio images are served with the website rather than loaded from Google Fonts or embedded client websites.

Hosting-level delivery and security processing described above is separate from visitor analytics. I do not sell visitor data or use it for targeted advertising.

4. Direct correspondence

If you email or telephone me voluntarily, I process the contact details, message content and information you provide to respond to your enquiry. Business email uses Zoho Mail and the mail services involved in delivery, not a form or database on this website.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for enquiries concerning a potential or existing contract. Other correspondence is processed under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on my legitimate interest in responding to relevant messages.

Correspondence is retained until the enquiry and necessary follow-up are complete. Records required for statutory accounting or tax obligations, or for establishing, exercising or defending legal claims, are retained for the applicable period. You are not required to contact me to browse this portfolio.

5. Project links and third-party websites

Links to project websites and other services are ordinary external links, not embedded forms or tracking widgets. When you follow a link, the destination provider processes data under its own privacy policy. The sites shown in portfolio screenshots are separate from this portfolio.

If you communicate with me through Upwork, that communication takes place on Upwork and is also subject to Upwork’s privacy information and platform terms. No Upwork widget or messaging system is embedded here.

6. International processing

The hosting provider operates global infrastructure, including in the United States. Technical data is therefore not guaranteed to remain solely in Germany or the EEA. Cloudflare’s Data Processing Addendum describes its international-transfer arrangements, including EU Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers subject to those clauses. You can consult that document or contact me about the safeguards relevant to processing on my behalf.

7. Your rights

Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing. Where applicable, you also have a right to data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent for the future.

I do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. To exercise your rights, contact me using the details above. Additional identity information will only be requested where reasonably necessary to verify a request.

You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, particularly in the EU country of your habitual residence, place of work or the alleged infringement. The authority for Baden-Württemberg is Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg.

8. Security and changes

This website uses HTTPS for data transmission. If the website’s functionality or processing changes, this policy will be updated to describe the actual processing before new data-collection features are introduced.
